TEN17 was born out of an interest and passion for helping businesses across outstate MN market differently. To help them tell their story and share their knowledge in the ever evolving game of digital marketing. We believe the best way for businesses to build their brand in today’s world is by putting out valuable content. The kind of content that helps their customers, or potential customers, feel understood. The kind that isn’t focused on selling, but rather evokes real emotion and ultimately builds a relationship — all through that tiny screen each of us carries around in our pockets every single day.

As the facilitator of the Kandiyohi CEO program for the last five years, I’ve been learning right alongside my students about all of the incredible entrepreneurs and businesses in our area. It’s been inspiring and eye opening to hear their stories and see their passion for what they do. That’s what pushed me to start TEN17 and solve a common content creating challenge for local businesses. To find a way to help them share their stories and knowledge with a much bigger audience through digital marketing.

Some of the things that bring me the most joy include being a Dad, disrupting the education world, new technology (#teamApple) and golfing as much as I possibly can.

I grew up creating and telling stories, which is what pushed me into majoring in Communication. I love being creative and bringing my creativity into my daily work. Working at TEN17 Media gave me an opportunity to pursue my passions as well as dive deeper into the world of content creation. I enjoy taking my love of storytelling and video editing to a new level though TEN17, and I hope to continue exploring my creativity wherever I may go. 

Some of my favorite past times include writing, video editing (yes, I do that outside of work), dancing, hanging out with my family and pets, and rewatching my favorite TV show for the millionth time.

I grew up with technology and social media. I have always loved creating things and making content just for fun. This has led me to creating content not only just for fun, but also making a career out of it. I can now turn that creative passion into a reality at TEN17. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a project in its final form come to life.

Some of my favorite hobbies include hanging out with friends, finding fun breweries and wineries to visit, and of course going shopping - I’m a feen for fashion. My idea of a perfect day would consist of all three.
